Angelini Pharma's commitment in Brain Health

According to World Health Organization, "Good brain health is a state in which every individual can realize their own abilities and optimize their cognitive, emotional, psychological and behavioral functioning to cope with life situations".

The European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA) estimates that a minimum of 1 in 3 people will experience a brain disorder during their lifetime. Stigma and discrimination are still the main causes of the marginalization of people with mental and neurological disorders in schools, in the workplace, and in society

For over 50 years, Angelini Pharma has been committed to improving the management and quality of life of patients with mental health problems and, more recently, those with neurological disorders, bringing both of these areas together under the single umbrella of Brain Health. And it does this not only by seeking new solutions and investing in research, but also by fighting through correct information the false myths, prejudices and taboos that still weigh upon those suffering from these illnesses.

A first important step towards people with these diseases and their caregivers is the launch of the "With You in Mind" Manifesto, with which the company aims to break down the stigma of which they are often victims.

But Angelini Pharma's committment does not end there: with the launch of the first positioning video on the therapeutic area of Brain Health, the company wants to interweave the sensitive and emotional storytelling of its core therapeutic areas with the positive impact it is committed to having in society. The video, through three fictional stories, tells the general public about the diseases for which Angelini Pharma wants to make a difference globally (schizophrenia-epilepsy-depression).
